In a gesture of appreciation and gratitude for the sacrifices of the martyrs who wrote epics of pride and dignity in defense of Lebanon, “Hezbollah” held a grand ceremony to honor the martyrs of the city of Nabatieh.
The ceremony was held under the generous patronage of the head of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc: MP Mohammad Raad, and with the remarkable presence of the official of the Second Jabal Amel Region in the party: الحاج علي ضعون, and the city’s Imam: Allama Sheikh Abdul Hussein Sadiq, along with the families of the heroic martyrs and a large gathering of political, social, religious, military and educational figures.
The ceremony began with fragrant verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the Lebanese national anthem and the “Hezbollah” anthem, then the sponsor of the ceremony: MP Mohammad Raad delivered a speech in which he affirmed that Nabatieh, at the height of its glory, is renewing its firm commitment to the path of martyrdom in sacrifice for religion, humanity and the nation.
Raad pointed out that the slogan of the Sheikh of Martyrs: Sheikh Ragheb Harb “The position is a weapon and the handshake is recognition” remains a beacon and a basic commandment, while the position of: السيد عباس الموسوي “The basic commandment is to preserve the resistance”.
He noted that the hills and plains of Nabatieh were the scene of the most wonderful heroic operations against the positions of the Israeli enemy in الطهرة, علي الطاهر, الدبشة, السويداء, الوادي الأخضر, سهل الميدنة, Arnoun and قلعة الشقيف, explaining that these sites “reveal the extent of Israeli crimes and massacres against civilians, and the savage behavior of the enemy and its greed for land and people.”
Raad added: “Today we stand in awe and loyalty, and we renew the covenant to loved ones who gave their lives for the sake of God in defense of the homeland and in support of the oppressed in Gaza, Palestine and the region, and in order to uphold right, sovereignty and dignity in Lebanon.”
He revealed that the city of Nabatieh has presented 130 martyrs, belonging to 71 families, including 95 martyrs from the formations of the sector, stressing that “their pictures are engraved in hearts and their names are inscribed in the memory of the resistance.”
He stressed that “the enemy that destroyed the homes of the people and their markets did so out of greed to occupy the country and spread despair, but it failed and will continue to fail, because Lebanon is fortified with the equation of the people, the army and the resistance,” considering that “divine victory is inevitable for the believers, and that the Mujahideen will remain loyal to their covenant.”
Raad strongly criticized those who seek to hold the resistance responsible for the Israeli attacks, stressing that “the enemy is the real reason behind these attacks, driven by its ambitions and its expansionist project.” He added that “whoever calls for removing the pretexts of the resistance either ignores the nature of the aggression or wrongly bets on the protection of foreign friends after concession.”
He also affirmed that the key to Lebanon’s security and stability is not in submitting to Israel’s conditions, but in forcing it to stop its attacks, calling for “strengthening the national alignment to confront Israeli ambitions and moving away from policies that weaken the internal front.”
Raad believed that “the interest of the country requires not linking reconstruction with the transactions of citizens and any external pressures,” noting that postponing the parliamentary elections is unacceptable “because it is a constitutional, presidential and ministerial demand, and the enemy has an interest in disrupting it.”
He concluded his speech by affirming that “the martyrs will remain beacons that illuminate our paths of pride and dignity, and that the loyal people and the school of the Mujahideen will remain a reference from which we draw lessons of sacrifice and loyalty.”
The honoring ceremony concluded with various segments and a moving speech on behalf of the families of the martyrs, in which they renewed the covenant to adhere to the path of resistance no matter the sacrifices, followed by a Husseini mourning council by the voice of the reader: Sheikh Abdullah Roumani, amidst an atmosphere of reverence and appreciation for the righteous martyrs.
